+Searching_ut Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 It's been years since my old 2000 was stolen so I'm working with ancient memories in my worn out old brain here. As I recall though, that unit dumped everything in it's memory if the batteries were out for very long. It was also extremely slow to initialize the first time often having to have 45 minutes of clear skys to initialize the first time. I'd leave it outside for as much as two hours with a clear view of the sky to see what happens. After it initializes the first time you should be able to get a fix in about two minutes with that unit. Good luck Jeff Quote Link to comment

The sitrep on it is that I left it outside for a long time, two sets of battery long, and it seems to be working now. I haven't had time to play much with it.
