Guest twenty4isalways1 Posted July 21, 2001 Share Posted July 21, 2001 Hi!! I plan on Geocaching as soon as I buy a unit. My Dad's friend owns a Mag 2000 and it has never been used. I checked out the Mag Web site and I did not find any useful info on this model. He is asking $100. The questions I have are: Is this model outdated? Would it be wise to just go to the store and get an entry-level GPS for just a bit more money? Any help is greatly appreciated.... Quote Link to comment

I had a feeling it was an older model when Mag's site didn't say anything relevant about it. I've been to the stores and have found an eTrex for $109 at Galyon's (sporting goods store), that's $10 cheaper than the KMart or WalMart!! Thanks again for your reply!! Quote Link to comment
