+GonzotheGreat
With the GPS V can you have the map page display the upcoming streets, like it does if you have route set? I would like to see what street is coming up but I do not want to do a destination all the time. As it is now it just displays the direction of travel. Thanks js Quote Link to comment
+paul_stratton
From the Map page, push the Menu button. Cursor down to "Show Guidance Text". Push the Enter/Mark button. The "Show Guidance Text" alternates with "Hide Guidance Text". If you're driving around and you do not have the GPV-V trying to provide navigation directions, you'll see the next street name in front of you at the top of the map screen. Just be sure that the first Menu option, when you push the Menu button from the same Map page, that you see either "Resume Navigation" or "Stop Navigation" grayed-out. It's that simple, but that convenient! Regard paul_stratton And to think that I once had trouble finding my own "@@@" with both hands... Quote Link to comment
+Olar
Make sure you have it set on "lock-on road" which is also accessed via "setup map" from map page. Cheers, Olar "You are only young once but you can stay immature forever" Quote Link to comment
+GonzotheGreat
"Lock to road" was the fix. I drive on some new roads and the GPS keeps grabbing the closest road so I turned off that option. Quote Link to comment
