Guest Schdp
After I updated I've noticed that I get D's in my signal strengh bars. Anyone know what this stands for? I looked in the manual but no luck. Thanks Dave Quote Link to comment

It was explained to me that this represents the WAAS-enhanced signals that you were receiving at the time. ------------------ Rich in Western Pennsylvania N 40 33.029 W 079 59.408 Quote Link to comment

Thanks Dave Dave, the "D" in the signal strength bar indicates that you are receiving "differential" or WAAS error correction, on those signals. You should be seeing a better accuracy reading as well. As for the manual, you may want to download the latest one from garmin, as WAAS was relatively new when the original manuals were published. -Craig Quote Link to comment
Guest Schdp
Thanks! Learning, slowly but surely. I was at the local zoo this past weekend and was getting 9ft accuracy after I loaded the new version! Dave Quote Link to comment
