miatawnt2b
I am thinking of getting the Garmin GPS II plus unit as my first GPS. The price seems very reasonable for a mapping-capable unit. Does anyone have experience with this unit both good/bad? Are there other comparable units i should concider and why? Thanks, Jim **Gravity is fiction, the world just sucks.** Quote Link to comment
mcb
Do you mean the II+ or th III+? The II+ does have a display the is like a map showing relative position of waypoint and displaying tracks, but it does not let you load road maps or topo maps into it. The III+ allow the upload of MapSource maps but it has a very limited 1.44 mb of map memory. If uploadable maps are not important the II+ is a great GPS. It gets great reception and has alot of nice features. It was my first GPS. Later mcb GPS-Yote Quote Link to comment
