Vista map downloads

Hi All,

 

I recently picked up a Vista and mapsource metroguide.

 

As metroguide maps were loaded, the marine POI was erased. If marine POI is reinstalled, metroguide maps will be erased.

 

What about downloading maps from both metroguide and topo CDs? Is this possible, or will one over-write the other as with marine POI.

It is possible, but they have to be loaded during the same session.

 

As you select map segments from either Metroguide and Topo, the selected segement list will appear under the "Maps" tab on the left-hand side of Mapsource. Once you have all the segments that you want selected you can download the entire map set.

 

If these maps are overlapping, Garmin GPS units will only display one map at the time. The order is determined by how the map sets are listed in the "Select A Product" pulldown in Mapsource.

 

With most GPS units, you can turn off and turn on individual map segments.
