Guest Beezo Posted March 12, 2001 Posted March 12, 2001 This weekend I discovered that the wrist strap that comes with the Garmin GPS III+ does NOT do an adequate job of holding the unit. I had pushed the loop on the end of the strap down over the elbow of the attenae. But it worked its way free and the unit dropped to the ground! Where exactly is this strap to be anchored? Are there other/better alternatives? Quote
Guest leaper64 Posted March 12, 2001 Posted March 12, 2001 i believe that the strap attaches to a small metal ring on the battery cover on the gpsiii. the antenna on this model is removable, and not a good choice for attaching the wrist strap. larry Quote
Guest Quinnow Posted March 12, 2001 Posted March 12, 2001 Leaper...you are correct. The wrist strap is made for the steel battery cage loop. Quote
