+Renegade Knight
Hello everyone. I've got what looks like a problem with overlapping maps. I've downloaded bith the Mapsource Topo and CitySelect maps for the same regions into my GPS V. What it looks like happens is that CitySelect 'wins' and thats what I see for my background. In Boise, it's not a problem if Cityselect wins since it's good in metropolitan areas. But I live in an outlying town which Cityselect has 2 roads for in it's database. For that area I would have liked to see typical topo informatino like the roads and creeks that I live by. But because CitySelect appears to have 'won' I only see what I used to see when I didn't have a topo background. Anybody else have experience using the two different types of maps? Maybe it's as simple as toggeling between the two somehow? Quote Link to comment
+HowieH
When viewing the map page, press the menu button, select MapSource Info, and then uncheck the City Select area you would like the Topo map to over ride. Scott Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
That worked, but it seems cumbersome. I'd rather toggle a map for the screen I'm looking at than have to remember what map I'm using. Though it's easier to figure out what CitySelect map I'm in than which topo zone so the priority does make sence. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+QUAD EXPLORER
When on the map page, hit menu, then select MapSource Info. A list of all installed maps appears. Hit menu again. Here you can Disable Which ever map sets you want with one move. Quad You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V Quote Link to comment
