Guest Avatar Posted August 27, 2001 Posted August 27, 2001 I need to convert a surveyor's location to one I can find with my GPS. Can anyone help me do this or tell me if the format is in a format that my GPS (Garmin eMap) will recognize? The 2 numbers are in a XXXXXXX.X format. Quote

The closest I have come up with is just north of Jacksonville, Fla! The location I'm trying to find is in the SE Atlanta area. quote:Originally posted by TNRonin:I don't know but this site may be of interest. Guest TNRonin Posted August 30, 2001 Posted August 30, 2001 Sorry that didn't help. Knew it was too easy to find. I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but have you called a surveyor to see how it is done. I also have a friend who was a draftsman for a firm that did cemetaries, he may have some experience with those. I'll contact him. Hawkeye Quote
Guest sblack Posted November 2, 2001 Posted November 2, 2001 There is a great program available from the Army Corps of Engineers called Corpscon which will convert from-to Lat/Lon, UTM, and State Plane coordinates. You can download it here - http://crunch.tec.army.mil/software/corpscon/corpscon.html Scott [This message has been edited by sblack (edited 02 November 2001).] Quote
