+RobAGD
Ok I had my Garmin III+ playing nice with SA9 but for some reason the V wont send waypoints correctly. During trasmission you see the waypoints as they are being transfered. Well when I trying to download them from the V they look like non standard text charaters. I can use Easy GPS, the TOPO and several other programs with no problems with both units, so far the V is just not playing nice with SA9. I was wondering if any one else out there is using teh SA9 and V and found any problems ? -Robert [This message was edited by RobAGD on October 12, 2002 at 06:42 PM.] Quote Link to comment
+Gliderguy
Were you using your III+ in native Garmin mode, or did you have it switched to NEMA? I suspect you might just have to change your data protocol on your V to NEMA. Quote Link to comment
+RobAGD
Glider - I have tried several differnt settings. On the 3+ I had it set to Garmin/Garmin and the V to just garmin as thats the only setting like that. It would be nice if it were a little more consistant within the brand on settings. I am going to peter around a little tonight with it and see what else I can dig up. This is getting a tad annoying as I have to go on a trip soon and I really dont want to have to take 2 gpsr's with me. -Robert Quote Link to comment
