Lexi32
Holiday Greetings, I currently have the garmin 176c and the USA Topo maps. Monthly I organize a hike for club members. (dog club). After returning I upload the tracks to the Mapsouce. Nice to see where we have been and good for a scrap book. Mapsource has a built in feature to email the map but if the receiving party doesn't have mapsource, How do you view it? I would like to be able to export it in a jpeg, bmp etc format for viewing by others and to allow it to be printed in our monthly newsletter. Both the gps and the software are extremely new to me so any help would be so appreciated. Thanks Lexi Quote Link to comment
jfitzpat
You can capture a mapsource view to the clipboard with . Then paste the image into Paint, or another graphics program for editing. You'll probably want to save it as a JPEG file for emailing. I think that Mr. Cox's nice USAPhotomaps program saves views as straight JPEGs/BMPs, suitable for emailing. You can email waypoints, but not tracks, directly from your GPS using LostOutdoors.com. I hope that the above helps. -jjf Quote Link to comment
+IBcrashen
I`ve sent my brother-in-law maps. All I`ve done is hit print screen and paste it into a graphic program, edit out the stuff I dont want and save and then send. There are also free programs where you can highlight the part you want. http://www.analogx.com/welcome.htm Quote Link to comment
