Guest NSG Posted September 21, 2001 Share Posted September 21, 2001 o-ords in this format instead: N51:24:35.1,W0:37:11.2 If your co-ords are not in D/M/S then you can convert them on your handset probably, depending on what unit you have, so check your manual if that's the case. On my Etrex I set it to hddd°mm'ss.s" in the Units menu. Quote Link to comment
Guest Monz Posted September 21, 2001 Share Posted September 21, 2001 for the ease of use in geocaching I think the best format is Hdd mm.mmm i.e. N53°24.231 On the vista you have menu options to view your co-ords in this format and loads of others however I have found the most common are decimal (N53.12345) D/M/S (N53°25'23.1) or the one that my vista stays in Hdd mm.mmm (N53°24.231) Quote Link to comment
