+Flackadder
Looks like I am under orders to visit 'Portmeirion' in a couple of weeks time. So I may as well get some serious caching done in that area. Anyone know of a good place to stay for 3 nights or so up that way?? Suppose I had better nip down to Snowdon' while I am in the area :-) Always wanted to go there. Think I may be a little lazy and take the train up. Are you a number or a free man ?!! Seriously, take a rain coat to Llanberis when you go for Snowdon ! The train costs an extortionate £18 return ! Be prepared ! If you really want to go, it's a good idea to pre-book your ticket as it's pretty popular. The problem with prebooking is, you'll probably arrive on a cloudy day and not be able to see anything !! As an aside, I see you're from Cirencester, I'm from the Forest of Dean, or there any plans for a caching meetup in Glos at any time that you know of ? ______________________________________________ Please visit our website - http://www.moonspace.co.uk/moonherb Quote Link to comment
+Ashandes
Might be heading that way very soon myself. My Dad is visiting and he's a mad Prisoner fan. It's a pity Portmerion itself is so hideously expensive. ________________________ What is caches precious? Quote Link to comment
+Bill D (wwh)
It's not only expensive, they don't let dogs into the village. Bill ------------------------------- "Ah, take the Cache and let the Credit go..." The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, trans. Edward Fitzgerald Quote Link to comment
+Flackadder
Yep, heard it is VERY expensive. Hazel has her heart set on going. I'll just have to be a little careful with the wallet. Possibly drive up and grab a motel or something. Am against booking one for the three nights in advance as we may want to move locations for the third night?? Best I have a quick look at a map!! On the other hand if you want to meet up at some stage give me a shout. Bob.... http://www.bobh.co.uk 'Life, it's a game with one serious bit - geocaching!' Quote Link to comment
