Guest weenantie
Thanks for all the replies....but I don't think you are getting my point here......there are 173 caches in the United Kingdom........I am in Scotland.....do I have to put in the co-ordinates for them all...to find the ones that are near me here.........???? Guest JasonW
No, on this(http://www.geocaching.com/hideseek/) page just pop in your latitude & longitude and it'll return all the caches near you in ascending order of distance.... eg. for me I find 55°N 1.5°W (that's 55, -1.5) gives perfectly acceptable results - ok that centre point is about 10 miles away from here, but far easier to remember than a 6 digit decimal Quote Link to comment

Guest Moss Trooper
Weenantie Go to your cache page and then to your account details. Enter the latitude and longitude of your home location. Unfortunatley altering this means you have to go through the revalidation. Once that is done you can then go to your cache page and search for caches from your home location. Is neat.. think this is what your after.. Caches are listed from closest out. Moss de Boss he de man.. sorta Quote Link to comment

Guest lemdip
although not as up to date as the method Jason and Moss suggest, you could always try this site, http://www.brillig.com/geocaching/united_kingdom.shtml for quick visual info on the whereabouts of nearby caches. Guest JasonW
But if you use it don't be surprised if some of the caches no longer exist as Buxley seems not to do archiving..... Quote Link to comment
Guest davehinns
Ah, but caches have now been listed on www.navicache.com and www.geocachingworldwide.com as well as www.geocaching.com. Quote Link to comment
Guest lemdip
Yes, that's right Dave because Scotland is soooooooooo close to Surrey, Berkshire etc. As weenantie pointed out there are 173 caches in the UK. If you use the sites you mentioned then the UK means London and surrounding areas. I mean how could anyone North of Watford possibly afford a GPS? Stick to www.geocaching.com. weenantie. Oh dear I feel another Lovelock rebellion coming on. I'm off! Quote Link to comment
