Monz's Waypoint Files

I am coming under increasing pressure to change the icons I use to depict the caches belonging to Mr Lovelock and co.

Does anyone else have a problem with the way the files are at the moment?

Does anyone use the files? I am considering removing them from the web site as I don't need the aggravation I am getting at the moment.

As the file is yours, and made available on your web page then I agree it is up to you what you provide. Whilst I don't like the current file I have to say that the previous versions were incredibly useful, and I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank you for having taken the time and trouble to provide the service to UK geocachers.

The reason I made the request was because in your position as moderator of this forum, you hold a visible position of responsibility as a leader of the UK Geocachers, and new geocachers will see you in the same light.

As such I was asking you to respect the fact that others in the UK geocaching community, who you do not share your opinion, and alter the file to allow others in the UK geocaching community who do not share your opinion to use the file.

If as you have said you feel unable to do that that is entirely fair, and I respect your decision. Also if you feel you are unable to continue to make your waypoint files available, this again is your choice. I am sorry that you feel unable to continue your worthwhile service to the UK geocaching community in a way that accomodates the differing opinions within that community.

Don't see the problem here. You use the files or you don't.

If you don't like them, don't use them.

It takes less than 30 seconds to change all the skulls back to waypoints anyway.

I change them to Amusement Parks. Everyone to his own.

Alex.

I for one very much appreciate your waypoint files and hope you will feel able to continue. I have been delighted by the good humour shown in these forums (fora?) and am sorry if anyone has taken offence.

As far as I can see....you create the files, so it's up to you how you do them. Personally, I like them as they are.

But hey, fellow cachers, if you don't like 'em don't use 'em...do your own!
