Tools to find caches along a defined route?

Hi

 

I'm trying to find caches along a bike route and export it to a GPX file to load on a Garmin watch.

 

I can plot the route in any number of tools (Ride with GPS, Garmin Basecamp, etc), and get Geocaches out of pocket queries, GSAK and other tools. I can "visually" merge them - look at a route, and look for caches along the route on the map, but I'm looking to trim up the list of caches to be ones that are on the route, or within N meters of the path.

 

Any tool recommendations?

Can you please elaborate a bit on how you use GSAK for that?  I found an older macro for GSAK that advertised to do that, but it seemed to operate on a start and end point - not an arbitrary route.
