How To View Page Source Code

When puzzle solving the source code sometimes holds the puzzle or a hint. I have always used cachly (app) to view a source code as it is very easy to view. However I have no idea how to view the page source code can be viewed for a cache page description on the computer. I have an Apple Mac. 
Can anyone help?

If you're using Safari (I usually use Chrome myself), then you need to enable the developer tools. From the Safari Help system:
