Bug? Inflated find count after Adventure Lab

We recently completed an Adventure Lab in Maryland and it seems to have inflated our find count by almost 100 finds. In the website our cache total is given as 1589 (definitely wrong); in the Adventure Lab app for iPhone the count is 1493 (we feel this must be the real number, based off memory). All other sources are giving the wrong number: my geocaching partner's Adventure Lab app for Android agrees with the inaccurate website number (1589), Cachly, Project-GC all give the wrong number. Somehow the API calculation used by only my Adventure lab app is right? Why? And what happened to our real numbers?

All these numbers have been off for over a week, so it doesn't seem like a server lag problem.

I'm afraid I'll forget or lose access to my actual real find total.

I have frequently found the count in the Adventure Labs App to lag behind my real find counts

It's a known bug, indeed. If you disconnect your account from the Adventure Labs app and then reconnect, it is corrected (up to the next time).

@Daval515 I don't see anything unusual in your stats, shown below. What do you think about it?

I wanted to thank those that responded! Thanks to the link provided by @Kalkendotters we were able to verify all of our lab caches. Then we did a very close read of all 1500+ of our finds, and came to the long and weird conclusion that the higher number was indeed accurate, and that it seemed that by logging in on the Adventure Lab app for the first time in a long time we updated our find count from lab caches we had found months earlier. That's the best conclusion we could come to, so the higher number was indeed the right one as @isenfriesen speculated. So we jumped up over 1600 pretty darn fast once that happened.

Thank you and woohoo! Happy ending indeed.
