+Papaya101
My brother and I were out hiking in the woods SW of Steamboat Lake, Routt County, CO, and we found a US General Land Office Survey with the year 1917 stamped into it. There was also a sign on a tree nearby designating it a “Bearing Tree” with some symbols on it. Can anybody help find the page in the online database (if there is one)? I can’t seem to find it. We marked the location on Maps and the coordinates took some finagling to get out of it so they’re definitely approximate: N40 46.530 W106 59.028 (Pictures attached) Edited June 17, 2020 by Papaya101 Added coords Quote Link to comment
Bill93
It's a land survey corner. Those are only very rarely measured as benchmarks, so I'm not surprised you didn't find it in the list. Quote Link to comment

kayakbird
Papaya, You might be interested in going to the GLO (rectangular survey) site link below. Can also find the original homestead patents in that area on that site.
