Florida Get-to-gether in Oleno State Park

Hi All, just a note to let you know that we are going to have to postpone the meeting at Oleno State Park on the 26th. The park is under water at all the trails and the picnic area. We are going to try to have it in May instead and hope that the water will be down then. We will post the event as soon as it looks like we will have access to the trails. I think GatoRx is trying to get a CITO cleanup on the 26th going in Jax. We will keep everyone posted about Oleno Park meeting. We have permission to place a cache and will work with the park people to have it in May. Thanks for the intrest

Sorry to hear about the flooding altree.

 

The Jacksonville CITO is still in the planning stages, but is going to happen. The site for the event can be found here. Hope to see everyone there, and again in May at Oleno!

Oleno state park is about 10 miles north of High Springs and about 12 or so south of Lake City. It has real nice camping facilitys so we might make a camping outting later in the year.

O'Leno is one of the jewls of the Florida State Park System. Here is a link to their web page.

Note: Because of the abundant and diverse wildlife found at O'leno no pets are allowed in the Campground. You can see deer wondering right up to your site.
