Combining Cache Types

Hello everyone. I'm looking to create my first Wherigo cache and my first Earth cache. I'm wondering if I can combine the two. I understand that not everybody can use the Wherigo, so I obviously don't want to make this a restriction.

 

Here's some background:

A local park features a book-driven geology walk. The park system no longer has any soft copies of the book material, and they only have a few hard copies of the book left. So I'm looking to create a Wherigo cache to replace the book, but I always want to have an Earth cache since the walk focuses on geology.

 

So:

1) Is this the correct forum to ask the question?

2) If so, can I publish both of these caches along the same route?

3) Do you need any other information from me in order to provide the best information?
