+Robyhodges
I am running a newish computer with windows 10.I am using Microsoft edge as browser. I can connect my Magellan explorist to the computer. It shows up as a separate drive in the program files. I have downloaded the latest software onto my explorist. (v 2.15) When I select a geocache and click 'send to GPS' a window pops up and I select Magellan, but it says: Magellan communicator not found. Which is strange because it is connected etc. It also says download latest software which I have done but still get the 'not found' scenario. Any ideas? Many thanks Quote Link to comment

+christine.manx
On4bam There maybe 1000 to look at but if there are that many people having problems having the fix as a sticky at the top of the thread may be more helpful. I am having the same problem, update done and geocaches device not recognised. Search is bringing up 100s of unrelated threads. Quote Link to comment

The reason I wrote to use the search function is because not a day goes by that someone "discovers" communicator stopped working. The issue goes back many months and as people update their browsers they "suddenly" run into problems. So here again a solution: Don't use "send to GPX" but "download GPX" and save the gpx file to the right folder on your GPS (don't have a Magellan so you'll have to figure that out yourself) As for Garmin it seems that an alternative is worked out between GS and Garmin and caches that are put on a list can be "send to GPS" from that list. Having a solution as "sticky" is up to GS but as it was proposed many times... don't hold your breath... Quote Link to comment
