+amabejo Posted August 3, 2016 Share Posted August 3, 2016 Hi i am in situation where someone has picked up a tb and not logged the grab. I have contacted them and they said they will drop it soon. If this person only logs the drop will the tb still move on the cache inventories. Any help is appreciated. Quote Link to comment

If they post Write Note logs, or no logs at all, which is what it sounds like, the TB will continue in the Inventory of the last cache where it was last properly logged. I'd offer them this link, How to Log trackables. If it's your trackable or your cache, you can Mark Missing the trackable. This will move it into an Unknown location. This will correct the inventory of the cache, and have NO impact on their logging, or on the mileage of the trackable. If they figure out how to use the tracking number to grab it, and then how to drop it - great. It will simply move on. If not, hopefully they will put it into a cache, and the next person to handle it can log it properly. Their mis-logging of it will be a small hiccup in the trackable history.
