Caches on a map with reference numbers

Recommended Posts

Hi all geo cachers

We do a lot of geocaching in foreign city's.

What we like to do is print a map with the geocache symbols on it to have a better overview of where caches are on an island or in a city.

What we experience is that we can easilyy print a map with the cache symbols on it but then I have to tag each symbol with a number (do it with a pen or pencil) and then have these numbers on a separate paper with the GC code and the hint.

very time consuming :(

Is there an easy way to have e.g. the list of caches from a PQ printed on a map with the numbers of the cache to it?

I hope I make myself clear :)

You can do it with Google Earth, by instance.

How do I do this? Can you explain a btmore?

Geocaches on Google Earth

Thanks :)

GREAT !! Didn't know this.

It is important to know that the Google Earth plug-in deliberately Obfuscates the exact cache location. Every time you refresh the cache view, they will all be in different locations, because none of the locations is right.

They are in the general area, but my assesment is that they may be off by as much as a tenth of a mile (~161 m).
