+bike-nut Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) I just got back from a Cuba vacation. A warning to all cachers. You are NOT permitted to bring a GPS into Cuba. Mine was seized by customs at the airport and after an hour of paperwork by the customs agent I was permitted to enter the country. Apparently no device that can communicate with a satellite is allowed. SAT phones, and walkie talkies also are banned. It took me over an hour to claim the gps when I left Cuba including having to pay a fine of 34 CUC (about 35.00 US) to have the privilege to get it back. The funny thing is that smart phones are allowed and with ours we were still able to cache when we were there. Edited April 7, 2015 by bike-nut Quote
