+clojo1 Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 sorry about the spelling, not sure which to buy both seem to have similar specs .Currently own a etrex 30 and would like to upgrade to a gpsr with a camera and torch both seem to fit the bill .Does anybody have a reason to buy one over the other.Have done a comparison on the Garmin site and could not see any real difference.Your advice would be appreciated. If you're in the market NOW to purchase, you might want to review the current state of development in the threads here to see if you can live with the remaining bug issues for each. That will depend upon your use model. And there are differences. The Monterra has quite a few more connectivity options and media features, partly due to the Android underpinnings. Whether those are important depends again upon your use model. You may find them very helpful, or just an added expense. Quote Link to comment
