Guest wildkirsten
ea just 10 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee. I had wanted a really scenic one, but she chose a close one that will be very easy to watch. We purchased plastic tool boxes at the local ace hardware store for one dollar each and painted them camo. What is the expected life of a cache in an urban area near people??? Quote Link to comment
Guest Markwell
Hard to tell, since Geocaching has only been around since May of 2000 - and urban caches are a new development. Some of the major factors that play into survivability of caches include how well it's hidden and how trafficked the area is. Easily spotted caches in high traffic areas obviously get plundered, even in rural caches - more so in urban environments. But if it's hidden well and people won't accidentally stumble across it - it should last quite a long time. Quote Link to comment
