Am I the only one having this problem

It seems that only travel bugs that I am seeking or have dropped off dissapear off the face of the earth. Whats a bloodhound to do? The following are TB in question (whereabouts unknown). 1. Jimbo#3(last seen in Ohio) 2. The Firefighter (last seen in WV) 3. Zippy (last seen in Tenn.) 4. Food for thought (last seen in Tenn) 5. Babcock Shaver (last seen in Tenn.) 6. Gadget, Left Leg (leg last seen in Ohio, tag still there) 7. Alaska Dog Team (last seen in Ohio). 8. Michael Schumacher's Ferrari F2001 - currently running in the cannonball run, I HOPE (last seen in WV)

I wanted to start a TB myself, but now I don't know.

Is it to much to ask that if you pick up a travel bug, to log it?

If you have these bugs please be considerate and log them.

If you know someone who has these bugs, please nudge them.

My first TB disappeared from the cache I released him into.

The "taker" signed the logbook, but not with a date nor his geocaching ID.

It is gone and nothing I can do will bring him back.

(Perhaps this topic would be better off in the Travel Bug forum.)

Not all those that wander are lost. But in my case... icon_biggrin.gif

It's a problem that has been with us since the dawn of time.

People are ignorant. (note I did not say 'stupid', though in some cases...)

Due to this inherent flaw in all humans, travel bugs go missing. The only thing you can do as an owner is try to inform the people your bug will encounter as best you can what its purpose is. Bug tags go a long way, but even then... some people just don't get it.

There's a local in Metro Detroit that believes travel bug tags are collectible items so they just take the tags and put the bugs that were attached to the tag into some other cache as if it were a cache prize. One bug was recovered but now that it's not MIA, its owner is.
