Expatmedic Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone. I am new to geocaching, and new to the forums as well, so please forgive my lack of vernacular. I have purchased a NIB Magellan Explorist 510 as my first foray into the handheld GPS world to be used for geocaching. I am having the following problems and decided to post after searching the forums for help. I dropped IE and downloaded Chrome. I am having the following issues: 1. I cannot download cache's directly to the GPS device. This is status post downloading the communicator for the PC and rebooting. 2. With IE I can see the download cache icon, but with firefox and Chrome I cannot. 3. Does the Communicator download to the PC or GPS or both? As of now, the Communicator is not recognized despite multiple installs/uninstalls and reboots of the PC. Your assistance and time with this matter is appreciated.
