+M.M.A.P.
Hi. We recently bought a Magellan Explorist GC and used a pocket query to load all the caches in Trinidad and Tobago (44 in all). We set out on a journey to the south of the island intending to look for several of them on the way. When we got to the first one, we stopped for lunch, but when we turned the gps back on, all the data was deleted. It shows 0 caches. Is there anything we could have inadvertently done to have erased everything? Or is it just some kind of malfunction with the unit? Has anybody had a similar experience? We are newbies, so all advice welcome. Will re-upload everything and give it a new try this weekend! Quote Link to comment
+happileigh
I'm sorry you haven't had a reply; a similar thing happened to me yesterday with my Dakota 10- I changed the batteries and there was just one cache showing (a Multi I had found weeks previously 30 miles away).I was on a day out caching , miles from home; Help please! I won't trust my GPS again! Quote Link to comment

What firmware version do you have? (shows while it is booting up when you turn it on.) The only place I know, in most of the firmware versions (1.5 to 2.15) is only by going to the geocaches selection from the main menu, then pressing Menu from that page, and scrolling down to 'Delete All', It's hardly an automatic function. Sorry the firmware flashes past too quickly when I boot up; its software version 3, GPS version 4.5. Edited October 29, 2013 by happileigh Quote Link to comment
