Etrex 20 compass

on my old etrex venture, after selecting a geocache and hitting "go" the compass used to pop up automatically. not a map and arrow.

How does one set the compass at the default on the new Etrex 20? Or do i have to go back to the menu, then into the compass each and every time?

The eTrex goes to your first 'Page' view after selecting Go. You change this preference by going into Setup and selecting Page Sequence. Set your Compass page to be right after the Main Menu. You can add the compass screen if it's not already listed there. Every time you hit the Back button, it will cycle through the page sequence you have listed there. I personally prefer the map/arrow/data overlay screen first, then the compass.

 

When I click Go, it goes to the map. Hit Back and it shows compass. Hit Back again and its on the Main Menu. Customize this order and number of pages to suit your preference.

Ok i can get to the page sequence screen and i can add the compass. But how do you rearrange the list off pages?

Click an item and select move. Move the thumb stick up or down to move it in the list. Click again to 'drop' it in the new position.

I think i may have it now. Still not the same as my old etrex, but closer. Thanks fir all the help
