  1. I think the site i linked to is for commercial use. Like i'd have to order a minimum quantity. I'm looking for half a dozen, not a case lot.
  2. Hrmmm still not working foe me. Will try again on monday
  3. I've seen places that sell regular tube shaped preform bottles online, but none seem to have any of the weird shaped ones. Any forum readers know where i can get ones that look like these? http://www.suryapolypet.com/pet-preforms-bottles-485449.html I like the thought of the odd shapes being something cachers dont usually look for.
  4. having same issue all of a sudden as well. anybody at Groundspeak have any ideas what's going on?
  5. Dude..... Seriously?? You've called out 6-12 cachers from NS and PEI (two smallest provinces in the country) with high numbers, who like to do big cache trips to NB. It's not exactly a large community. We know specifically who you are targeting. To say this wasnt personal when you first posted the question would be a falsehood. You could have generalized in the original post, but you chose not to. YOU were the one who made it personal right from the get go.
  6. I'm not sure what constitutes "being friends with" other than living in the same province. Team Dita_Karcossa cache with team cubby&bigbear more than anybody else. And why did you bring it up CableGuy? Seems like you've complained about the Spud Cachers on more than one occasion online on the Cache Up Nb page. If it bothers you this much, why not just man up and ask Nimrod or Escaperr about the way they cache directly instead of pussy footing around the subject here? If you actually took the time to talk and hang out with the Spud Cachers i think you'd actually find that they are a decent bunch of men and women who like to cache hard. Sharing the road from sun up to sundown on a 15 hour cache raid is exhausting and a whole lot of fun. Usually just one or two cars with members splitting up, leap frogging, then meeting for lunch, rearranging the passengers for different company then going at it again until the wee hours. We cache differently than you do sometimes. Big deal.
  7. yeah in the app they appear chronologically. It only makes sense to me to be able to rearrange them. Have a drop down menu that gave you options to do it alphabetically, chronologically or by category.
  8. i dont want them gone or anything,i quite like them. the artwork on the Canadian provincial ones is pretty! i just want to arrange them in a way that's not alphabetical. i would think it'd be a simple enough fix. Like maybe just in profile settings have the option to arrange either in alphabetical, chronological or by category order
  9. i'm a bit OCD.....and this month of souvenirs is cool and all, but my partner is headed to the states and will be caching in each state she visits. so depending how caches are logged they will be all out of order. I like collecting souvenirs a lot but man, that souvenirs page is a jumbled mess. is there any way they can be arranged the way i want? like all states together? or all provinces together?
  10. I think i may have it now. Still not the same as my old etrex, but closer. Thanks fir all the help
  11. Ok i can get to the page sequence screen and i can add the compass. But how do you rearrange the list off pages?
  12. on my old etrex venture, after selecting a geocache and hitting "go" the compass used to pop up automatically. not a map and arrow. How does one set the compass at the default on the new Etrex 20? Or do i have to go back to the menu, then into the compass each and every time?
  13. Hrmmm not sure i follow at all. I want EVERY cache in a particular province regardless of date published.
  14. Hiw do i run a query for every cache in a province? Or state? Are queries limited to 999 caches?
  15. I am brand new to building Wherigos, and just diving into the construction of my first cartridge. My question is this: I want to construct multiple exactly identical items... Is it possible to lump them into one picture for the sake of neatness and organization? Like, say, it would be listed as one item, but with (x2) next to it or something? Does this make sense? Is it possible to accomplish this? Thanks in advance!
  16. I'm getting this error as well. The strange thing is, I've ONLY entered the name and location. Haven't done any other messing around at all. Yet still, I can save the cartridge no problem, but when I go to open it, I get the following error message: Also, I tried opening the "Zooventure" cartridge that's provided by the Wherigo Builder Tutorial as an experiment... I get the same error. This makes me think it's an issue with the Builder itself (or my specs...?). It seems obvious to me that there wouldn't be errors in both my bare cartridge AND the tutorial cartridge. Anyone have any insight?
  17. yep it's about 4 hours this time of year. but like i said...if you decided to head over...msg a cacher by the name of El Nimrod and we can get some cachers together for a meet and greet
  18. if you decide to do Charlottetown, let user named "El Nimrod" know you are coming and we'll hold a supper event in your honor. For real. The island cachers try to get together at least once a month and need no excuse to all meet up for chi chat and food. So having a cacher from away visit just adds to the fun! Lots of great caching to be done in Charlottetown. See you soon!
  19. try some cachers with the handle "mchawkeye4" they are new and keen and very eager!
  20. i feel qualified to answer on behalf of Critter as I've found these caches. they are in fact trads. you just need skill to get to the log sheet. check out the favourite points awarded, these caches are in a word....AMAZING!. in the case of BYOB, that's a multi...and yes you DO need batteries. however the first stage is exactly where it should be. the batteries you need are in your gps. this was a super fun multi to do and a simple two stager. highly recommended! in the case of Tool Time. again, the cache is exactly where it should be, but you need a tool to retrieve the log sheet. the tool IS there within a few meters of the cache. Critter caches have a difficulty rating for a reason. they are hard! but oh so satisfying. in my opinion they are listed correctly
  21. we all have our ways to play the game. and that's what we like about geocaching. My user name is Cubby&Bigbear as i almost always cache with my GF. There are times we meet up with our cache pals, (a husband and wife team who also cache under one name)to go do some exploring. When we encounter long stretches of road with series caches along them, if we have two vehicles, we split up, and leap frog down the road so that a team member from each user name is present at the cache. in order to save space on the logs, we'll often sign on one line cbb&dk. For us, we like to at least be present and see the cache before we log it. I don't mind if i don't actually write on the paper myself as long as my gf does.
  22. the only container's i ever replace are ones that are destroyed. and i try to replace them with very similar sized containers in my cache kit. i'll even try to dry/ clean any swag and put in into the new container as well. The worst is throw down containers for DNFs
  23. I don't think Rick Astley has ever geocached. He'd be good at it, though. No matter how tough it was to find the cache, he wouldn't give it up. Speaking of Rick Astley...take a look at this series of caches, starting with GC2VDGQ...ending in GC2VDPN
  24. DONT GIVE UP! i would advise you to take a look at some of the "events" in the area and cache with a group to start. if you have no idea what you're even looking for if can be difficult at first. once you get the hang of it it becomes much easier
