Changing Map to new location

Recommended Posts

We are new at this but for the life of me I can't find how you change the map to another location. I don't know the Zip or Postal Code for the community we are going to so why doesn't the Search page include the name of the nearby town or city? I think I have read your entire website but I can't find this anywhere. I hope someone gets back to me soon as we are leaving in a couple of hours. Thanks

If you enter the name of the nearest town on the main page (geocaching.com) and after that click "map this location". You can find all the caches in that area on there.

If you enter just a city name in the address box, it works fine. I tried. Just make sure you are specific and include the name of a state in case more cities with the same name exist.

If you are using the "Seek a cache" in the "By address" box you can just enter the name of the town and State/province.

(I guess I'm too late to help for today, but maybe next time. . . .)
