Cointest: ARE YOU READY TO PLAY SOME FOOTBALL?

I did quite well this year in my Geocoin Fantasy Football leagues and won a bunch of coins maybe up to 15. (Of course since each year some players don’t send coins to the winner sadly enough so I may not receive them all but that is another story. ) Today is the Super Bowl so I thought I would have a little cointest and share the wealth a bit. I don’t know what coin will be the prize yet as it may come from my winnings and I’ve only received two so far but it will be a trackable coin and not a micro. Answer these questions to be in for the coin

 

1 --Who am I rooting for in the Super Bowl? I know that you have a 50/50 chance of guessing this one but you could actually improve those odds with a little searching I think.

2 --How many people will be at/attended my Super Bowl party? Don’t include me in your number.

3 --How many fantasy football leagues did I play in this year?

4 --Tell me one of your New Year’s Resolutions and how you are doing on it. Don’t tell me about the same one in each guess though if you can help it. This is meant to be fun and to get to know you!

5 --I am working hard on a few geocaching challenges. Name one of them. Bonus points if you name the one that I believe to be the hardest.

6 --Many of you know that I am a dog lover but how many know that I have birds too? Name 2 of the kinds of birds that I have.

7 --If you post prior to the start of the big game (6:30 pm EST) tell me who you believe will win and the score. You don’t need to answer this question to win though. I am just curious.

OK. I'll give it a shot. I tried doing some research, but could not find any conclusive evidence. So for the first one, I will simply guess.

 

1. Ravens. I know you like the Red Wings, so you have to hate the Penguins, who are from Pittsburgh. Anyone who hates Pittsburgh hates the Steelers. One is not allowed to like the Steelers and the Ravens, so I am guessing that you would like to see the Ravens win.

 

2. 20 people at your party.

 

3. You played in 4 fantasy leagues this year.

 

4. I resolved to fill my geocalendar this year. I am doing pretty well (filled one day today, making 356/366). If I don't miss any days, I will be done on May 26. (I need 3 more days in February, 1 in March, 2 in April, and 4 in May.)

 

5. I will guess the geocalendar is one that you are working, since you only have one day left. That is a tough one!

 

6. Ernie (Harwell) is a gloster canary, and I believe you have some cockatiels as well.

 

7. I will guess that the Ravens will win by a score of 20-16.

1. Ravens - The ravens are birds and you definately seem to be an animal lover.

 

2. 10 people - you need 11 (including yourself) out on the field for the game.

 

3. 5 leagues - By the way thank you for the coin from the yahoo league - although as you stated we only got 3 of the five coins we should have received for winning.

 

4. Exercise more - doing well and the gym is not as crowded as expected.

 

5. A fill the calender challenge which you hopefully will complete in 2 weeks from today.

DING DING DING We have a winner!!!

I really didn't think this would be very hard and hoped more would play along. I put in sort of a trick question with the idea that most anyone who entered would be eligible to win.

 

1--I was rooting for the 49ers and posted it in my log in a Super Bowl related puzzle cache I found last week. GC44FQH Strive to be Super! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=a6f6edfd-a17a-4d98-a91f-67c84a4d1cc8 I like Kaepernick and he helped some of my teams in the last few weeks of the season when I lost my regular QB. They came Oh So Close!!! It was a fun game!

 

2--I didn't have a party nor did I attend one. This was what I thought might be kind of a trick question.....But you got it

4--Free question. One of my resolutions was to keep up on my logs and not get too far behind. When I posted this cointest I was only 5 behind mainly because I log in order and one cache had not published yet. We found the coords at an event on Saturday and it was published on Sunday.

 

5--I am working on 3 challenges 366 Days Calendar Grid, the fizzy challenge and 100 finds per month for 12 months. This is my last month and I hope that I can get the 82 more I still need. I had hoped the other day to get another of the high terrain caches but then it snowed and I won't climb a tree afterwards. This one will be the hardest for me because for most of the ones I have left to do I don't want to do alone and need someone to come with me for safety reasons.

 

6--I have 2 canaries, 2 cockatiels and 3 zebra finches. I did have parakeets but I lost them a couple of months ago. I had forgotten that I had posted about Ernie on facebook so I was surprised when you knew his name. LOL For those who don't know Ernie Harwell was the voice of the Detroit Tigers while I was growing up. I am a die hard Tiger fan and have been since I knew what the game of baseball was all about. All of my fantasy teams have Tiger in the name. My cockatiels were rescues and aren't tame. I can't have a parrot or another bird that needs to be out of their cage because the dogs are a little too interested in them.
