i was wanting to know what these two icos meen above

Those icons mean it is in a cache. The green one shows it has had activity recently.

[+Bhob]

these are shown in the "location" column on a list of trackable items

 

the cube shape means that the item is in a geocache

when it has a green background, it means that it was put there in the last week

when the green background is missing, it means that it was put there a while ago

 

there is another such indicator - a smiling face image

this means that the item is in the possession of a member

again, the green background indicates how recently the item got into the possession of the member

 

a question mark symbol indicates that the item has been moved to "unknown location"

correction to my original post

 

the green means any activity of any kind in the last week

 

for the geocache (cube) situation, this could mean that it was put there via "drop", or it could mean that someone saw it in a geocache, left it there, and did a "discover" online

 

for the smiling face, it could mean that the item got into the hands of the member via a "retrieve" from a geocache, or via a "grab" from somewhere else, or it could mean that the current holder shared it with another member, and that member did a "discover" on it, or that the current holder logged that the item made a visit to a geocache

 

hopefully, that covers all of the possibilities

wouldn't ya know it -

right after I described something that has been the same for many years, they up and changed it yesterday

 

the cube icon has been replaced by a geocache type icon

(so, now you know what kind of geocache your item is residing in

regular, multi, event, unknown/mystery, etc)

 

the smiling face has been replaced by a simplified shadow image of a human

 

the green background has moved to the last activity date and turned blue

the date is highlighted if something has happened to the trackable item in the last week
