A Multi Cache Or Not?

Hi All

I have a circular route planned where I would like to include a combination locked hide with the required data presented on the previous hides, my question is "Can I place these as normal hides or must the series be classed as a Multi Cache trail"?

The route is rather restricted for Hidden/Invisible hide spots so the option of having the Co-Ords shown and a note to say it's not obtainable seems reasonable?

I would rather keep it simple but don't want to fall foul of the rules :blink:

It sounds to me like you are planning a bonus cache for someone who has found your trail. I think the trail should be traditional caches and the bonus should be a mystery.

You could make the bonus cache a multi, but then on the cache page you would have to add the coordinates of all the locations you need to visit. That would give you a complicated looking screen on your GPS which tries to show the stage of a multi and a cache in the same place.

That's the tried and tested, conventional way of doing it.

Most cache series these days, even though they are really one big multicache, are set up as multiple caches.

Although perhaps you mean something different;

The route is rather restricted for Hidden/Invisible hide spots so the option of having the Co-Ords shown and a note to say it's not obtainable seems reasonable?

...I'm not sure what you're asking there?
