This model is apparently used by Search & Rescue as it hangs on to the signal in difficult conditions, is simple to use and very tough. These things don’t date – a second hand one can be identical in appearance and function to a brand new unit. Why pay $200+ for packaging?

Better than the original manual as it is slightly larger at A5 size with lay-flat spiral binding. Much easier to read and includes the updated instructions for the area calculation feature.
