+The Jester
Yea!!!! It was published, my first event. One last hike to Monte Cristo I will probably take the opportunity to remove my caches up there. That was some hike - 12.9 miles RT in 7:31:35. Quite a crowd for a rainy fall day, but lot's of fun and lot's of caches (I'm still writing my logs). The vine maples were beautiful. Thanks for putting this together! Quote Link to comment
+MaliBooBoo
I had intended on riding my bike here this Saturday. When we got to the trailhead the snow there was about 5-6 inches deep. Fortunately it wasn't all a waste of a trip out there since our plan B became checking out the nearby Big Four Ice Caves. Hopefully Monte Cristo will still be accessible next year before they start cleaning up the area! Quote Link to comment

+90%Angel
Saw this post and just had to comment,....of all the cache experiences I've had, from Alaska to Australia , the trek to Monti Cristo was one of the best, most memorable hikes I've done! If you get a chance, I would recommend you go for it, while you can....it truly is a fascinating place! Quote Link to comment
+MaliBooBoo
Thanks, 90% Angel. I intend to try and get out there again...probably in the spring. It looks like a very interesting place. Quote Link to comment
