I have a watch list on a cache.

Twice now when another cacher has logged the cache as a DID NOT FIND, the email that is sent says that the Cacher FOUND it.

Here is email:

Given the rating in size, really thought this one would be easy once we made it to GZ. No luck.

Usually when this happens, the cacher did log a find. They then quickly realize the error and edit the log to a DNF. If you post a log and edit it within a certain time frame, you don't get the usual "edited on ..." message appended to your log.

I have mistakenly logged many time and simply changed it.

I don't think that's the case here because if you look at the actual logs they have not been edited...

You missed what Don_J said:

Just because a log doesn't say "This log was edited on..." doesn't mean it wasn't edited. Don_J's scenario is most likely what happened in your case. People get in a groove logging their finds, and they accidentally log a find when they meant to log a DNF. When their log summary is displayed, they realize their mistake, edit the log, and change the log type. It only takes a few seconds, so they'll almost always finish before you have a chance to view their log.

I have noticed the same thing. I thought it was just accidental "Found It" logs with an edit afterward, but the frequency has increased dramatically in the last couple of months. I also can't believe that every single person who has made that mistake has corrected it immediately within a few seconds. Seems that either a new app, or an update to an existing app is creating problems, or there is a bug on the web site.
