+gporr Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Of all my geocaching adventures, I think I'm going to have some of the fondest memories of a little koala TB named Jarrah. He was released more than 6 years ago, and I had the privilege of bringing him one step closer to getting back home. As of yesterday, he is now back home in the hands of his owner, after a successful journey of more than 47000 miles, from North Carolina, to Australia (with a number of other intermediate countries), and back. Seeing "Recently Spotted: In the hands of the owner" on the TB's page is so cool! Here's the TB's page: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?tracker=TBM35X Greg Porr Lexington, South Carolina, USA Quote
+Max and 99 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Now that is great news! I love hearing those stories, especially after my TB was stolen with ZERO miles on it! So glad that the TB made a hugely successful journey. Quote
+Nomesquad Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Hooray! This gives hope to trackables around the world! Quote
+ayrbrain Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) Wow that is fantastic. Hmmmmmmm I wonder if mine, released in Australia last year will do even a fraction of that. Congratulations to the TB. What a great sport/hobby geocaching is. I have just been looking at the photograhs of the koala's travels, it really is great that cachers took the time out to take fun photographs of him...............now if only the koala could talk! What tales he could tell you. Enjoy your rest little koala. Edited April 23, 2012 by ayrbrain Quote
