apor1a
Hi folks! Brandon here! (apor1a) I just started caching, and got a few of my friends hooked as well, and I was just wanted to say hello to everybody, and also put a feeler out there for others In Lubbock, TX that may want to join up on weekends and really get some work done! Anyway, HI! Hope to hear back from some locals! Quote Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
Hi Brandon The best way to make local geocaching connections is to meet fellow cachers in person. Attend local events. I have quite a few new friends because of that. Also, find the closest local forum and participate in the discussions. Only a small minority of cachers participate here in the Groundspeak Forum. Go after a few First To Find opportunities. I think the FTF frenzy some have is way over rated, but it is your best opportunity to randomly meet up with other cachers on a hunt. And check out the South and Southeast forum here (which does encompass Texas). Take special notice of this post: If you are looking for Texas info..... You need to look elsewhere.... I want to revive the cachers in this area with events and stuff but haven't found a site active with many Lubbockites out there. Quote Link to comment
