How do I upload caches to my new Dakota 20?

Hello fellow geocachers!

 

I just got my new Dakota 20 in the mail yesterday!

 

This is my first device that hasn't been borrowed and I have always worked with older models in the past. Older as in the only option is to type in the coordinates. I am very excited to get out and find some caches with my very own gps!

 

I opened it up and read the booklets that came with it and played around with the UI itself. I watched some youtube/garmin videos to figure out how to do it and installed the garmin communicator plugin. I went to geocaching.com to get some caches to upload into the gps, this is the part I've never done before. I clicked on the 'send to GPS' button and the smaller screen popped up to upload to GPS. It says it has found two folders: Memory card F:\ and H:\. First of all I want to know if its normal to have two folders without a micro SD card? Secondly it wont let me write to either of the folders with the error 'The system cannot find the path specified.'

 

What do I need to do to get these files onto my new Dakota?

For starters - you really need to be a premium member to get the most out of that unit. (hints, descriptions, previous logs, size, type etc)

 

Then you simply save the GPX file from any listing page or Pocket Query into the [drive]:\garmin\gpx folder on the device.
