hstiles Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I have a Montana 600 and use the North America map when I'm driving. Everywhere I go there is a turquoise trail that follows the car on the map. It is there from previous trips and always follows the car. I've look through the settings but can't find a way to disable it and clear what has left. Anyone know how to disable this and clear what is there? Thanks, Quote
MtnHermit Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 That line is your track log. Quite useful if you like to record a trail, road, etc for a map or record your journey. It is stored in the folder GPX IIRC as Current.gpx. To disable the on screen line: Settings > Map > Trip Log > Hide > Hide/Show. Quote
+user13371 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 See page 15 of the manual, "clearing the current track." Quote
MtnHermit Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 There should also be a setting that lets you decide whether or not to record a track log in the first place, On modern units, STM Cartesio based, that's no longer true, the track is always recorded. Reason they have so much internal memory (800MB typically) that the current.gpx file is just dumped into an archive folder as 1.gpx, 2.gpx, and so on. Quote
hstiles Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Thanks to all with the suggestions. I turned it off for now. I'll look into it more when I learn more about the functions. Quote
