I've just started caching recently with a friend. We've both logged the same caches found, however, I indicated on one post that the cache needed maintenance as it was dangling and it was difficult to secure the lid when I found it. Since that post, my count of traditional caches has been one less than my friend's profile listing even though we have logged the same finds. I wanted to know if this is unusual or regularly done when one lists a problem with a cache? Is there a way to correct this?

You need to add another log of found it for the cache. The two log types are separate from each other.

 

This is because you can log a needs maintenance on a cache that you have already found but you don't want it to show up as found again.
