debovey
My Explorist 400 developed the dreaded "Configure NAND" problem. I walked through some steps with Magellan but it still doesn't work. Posts from 4 years ago referenced a website that no longer exists. Apparently this was/is a problem and there was a way of fixing it. But I can't find any solution on-line. Anyone have any suggestions or ways of fixing this problem? Thanks, Dave Quote Link to comment

+kentwoodkrew
I think I had that problem with an explorist xl many years ago and found help at this site. http://www.gpsfaqs.org/faqs/magellan/explorist/explorist400/firmware.html#basemap_backup Looks like you need to scare up a copy of the basemap. They have one available here which might work. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eXplorist/ Maybe you can find a 400 owner here who can send you the correct basemap.mgi file. Perhaps yours is corrupt. Can you tell me what size it is? Also available is a firmware update and lots of advice. Let me know how it goes. I had some terrible battles with the explorist xl but I managed to come out on top.
