Kiruban
Just heard of geocaching. Appears to be a lot of fun for a single person like me...*Smiles*. Let me hide, come and find me...hahaha. Anyways, to get with the subject. I don't have any cool gadgets to begin with. I just recently moved and the only thing I have with me is my Iphone and the built in compass. The Requirements : A Compass, some goodies, lots of smile and the spirit of sharing. I have it all. My Problems : 1,How do I find out what star rating each cache has since I want to beging with the lowest and move up. 2,How do I find the cordinates? I am only able to see mine. 3,What are the Accronym's used and what do they mean? TFTH, TFTC (i understand they mean "thanks for the hide and the other is cache)are there more? I am pretty sure that I will have more questions which i hope to get answered as I play more. Thanks and keep smiling always. Edited July 17, 2011 by Kiruban Quote Link to comment
sabrefan7
If you have the iPhone app then you have the coordinates as you look at the cache page it self. The difficulty and terrain ratings are at the top of the cache page description. Take a look at this page to help you get started http://www.geocaching.com/guide/default.aspx Here is the glossary http://www.geocaching.com/about/glossary.aspx Quote Link to comment
Kiruban
Thanks, I just downloaded the free version of the app, will do for starters. Heard there are still problems with the app, that is for another day I guess. I hope this is a road to some exciting adventure and scenery that I have been longing to see. Thanks for that info Sabrefan7. Quote Link to comment
