+Monkey Man & Lulu
Going to Maui & Kauai in February 2012, and would like some input on cache favorites not to miss. We will be spending a week at each island. Also and input on places to eat, snorkel and sightseeing places to visit. Would like to attempt GCHREH Ha'ili'ili-haele WaterFalls Cache & GC962E Welcome to Jurassic Park and would love if any local cachers would be willing to assist or give input on these that would be great! Thanks! Monkey Man & Lulu Your geocaching life will not be complete without doing the Na'ili'ili-haele WaterFalls cache. Just a few pointers on that one: when you navigate thru the bamboo forest and get to the stream that you cross over... go STRAIGHT up the hill. I know the cache description says "upstream" - but don't go off to the left our the right (previous log entries will confirm that). Also, we used a dry bag that we picked up at REI and that worked just fine keeping our camera dry. Watch out for the floating mangos - they can get nasty! Have fun! - Steve Quote Link to comment
+-goat-
On Maui go to Molokini EC. Take Pacific Whale Foundation snorkeling trip that goes to Molokini and onto Lanai. Not only do you get a cool EC but also you will be there during prime whale watching time. Great trip, well done tour. Also go up Haleakala on Maui, go up in the early afternoon, pick up some virtuals and watch the sunset. Quote Link to comment
