+the loud
Maybe this is something I can't change; however, I own a Lowrance Safari GPS. I absolutely LOVE the device- with one tiny exception. I can't seem to change the navigation's mode of transportation from CAR to FOOT. It's rather annoying, as when it gets to 40' of a cache, the screen simply reads 'destination reached', and I lose the visibility of my compass and coords. Is there a way to disable this or adjust it? I would like it to at least allow me within 10' of the GZ. I have read the user's manual from cover to cover, searched the web, and the Geocaching Forums. If anyone can help- I would greatly appreciate it. Quote Link to comment
+"grimlock"
Not as of yet. Somewhere there is a topic on this issue and us Lowrance owners are waiting for a software upgrade to fix this problem. This makes it difficult when setting way points on the fly..... if the cache is loaded as GPX file from a PQ this doesn't happen. Quote Link to comment
