Coming back -- need help with Garmin 12 and Paperless interface

Greetings,

 

Getting back into Geocaching with my soon to be 4 year old son and need some help.

 

I have Garmin GPS 12 that is in mint condition, having been stored for the past 9 years. I cant get the paperless interface communicating with the GPS.

 

I running W XP and communicate with the GPS via a serial converter to USB. I downloaded and installed the Communicator Plugin293 and the Firefox plug in as well.

 

Any help, links or whatnot in getting this to work would be appreciated.

A. No, the Communicator works best with devices that connect to a computer via USB cable.

 

While some devices that connect to a computer via serial cable or serial-USB adapter will work with the Communicator, they are not officially supported and we cannot guarantee compatibility or provide customer support.
