pesson Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 I have just recently gotten into geocaching and I have figured out how to download caches directly to my gps from the geocaching.com website. The problem is some caches show up with more than one waypoint on my gps. I will have the cache waypoint that I downloaded with the geocache symbol but there will also be another waypoint with the waypoint symbol with a different name and coordinates. Any ideas what the second waypoints are and why they only show up paired with some waypoints and not others?? Quote Link to comment

Probably what your seeing is the child waypoints, things like parking coordinates and trailhead coordinates. These will be paired with the parent coordinate (the cache itself). So if you are looking for GC123456 you might see PK123456, which will be the parking coordinates for GC123456. Quote Link to comment
